I came across your blog today through the Muppets theatre posting, and am in the process of browsing some of your other postings. This one makes my heart ache, but in the best way possible. Vancouver winters, the mountains in the background, and my very favourite roller coaster EVER. This is a summer tradition for me and one I will miss greatly this year! I convinced my sister, after many years of her avoiding it, that if she rode this coaster with me, I would ride the Crazy Beach Party with her. She loved the coaster and couldn't figure out why she had avoided it for so long. (I still hate the Crazy Beach Party, FYI) Now it's the thing she most looks forward to. As a teacher I brought two classes to Playland, and led several terrified students to this roller coaster, against their better judgement perhaps. I never forced them, I just told them it was a ride they will never forget, and the most amazing thing ever. Of course, they loved it. My mom bruised a rib on this coaster. haha (I shouldn't laugh maybe, but it really was very funny..) Such wonderful memories of Vancouver. Thank you so much. xoMelaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09951728132975564063noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2897893070678314014.post-7508144535138540972011-03-30T08:57:40.862-07:002011-03-30T08:57:40.862-07:00Hi Lance,
I have been going to Playland and the PN...Hi Lance,<br />I have been going to Playland and the PNE for over 30 years now, and the Woodie is one of the best experiences, hands down. I have ridden it 13 times in one day, I have ridden it during Fright Nights, when it was raining so hard, I couldn't scream for fear of drowning, and I have been the last rider of the day after midnight at park close. However never have I seen pictures like these, they are beautiful!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
